Facta Non-Verba: NSYSU International Programs Take Action Towards A Better Environment Through Beach Cleaning Activity
/Right now, the earth needs the younger generation to take care of it more than ever. #NSYSU is proud to have students who excel in both academics and extracurricular activities and take action to make the world a better place. On the 27th of November, the Student Association held "Cleaning The Beach And Dining” to raise #environmentalawareness.
More than 30 students took part in the event. The group met up at Gushan Ferry Dock and made their way to Cijin Beach. The participants enjoyed not only the beautiful scenery but also the time chatting with the other participants during the ten-minute drive. The Deputy Director of the International Programs, Prof. Frank Wong and Professors Ryan Brading, despite their busy schedule, attended the activity as well. Professor Frank Wong gave a short speech thanking the crowd and advised the students to be careful while cleaning. The President of SA, Joy, then talked about environmental awareness and announced the safety instructions.
The participants worked in groups and roamed all around the park and the beach, collecting trash and making the surrounding cleaner and healthier. Aurora Elsa, a 2nd-year GHRM MBA student, remarked that she always enjoys attending events organized by the SA, but this one was special as it was not just enjoyable but timely and relevant as well. Kudos to SA for holding another exciting event.
