After earning my degree in English, I worked as a ground crew in the aviation sector for a few years. To be honest, although the work appeared fantastic on the outside, I felt stuck on the inside. My progress simply stopped when I reached a stopping point. That’s when I realized that I had to continue studying if I wanted to grow "further and broader," not just stay where I was. I decided to switch to business because of this. The IBMBA program at NSYSU is highly competitive, but more significantly, I chose it because of the “1+12” synergy that comes from an all-English, international environment. It seemed like the ideal starting point for me to resume my pursuit of a worldwide career.

The program’s ability to transform theory into practical application is what I value most about it. Consider the statistics course taught by Professor Cheng-Hsien Lee. I used to rely a lot on my intuitive feeling," but he showed us how to approach issues using evidence. Then there was the Business Ethics course taught by Professor Yi Liu. We were encouraged to ask questions and discuss opposing viewpoints in addition to reading case studies. It really improved my critical thinking skills, which are crucial for making judgments in the real world.

This place has a truly multinational vibe. Working on group projects with people from different backgrounds has truly broadened my perspective. Understanding those tiny distinctions in cross-cultural communication is a learning experience that textbooks cannot deliver, even though it isn’t always simple and pushes you far beyond your comfort zone. Through teamwork and the relationships you make, you are practically immersed in international business every day at NSYSU.

“You only live once” My journey through the IBMBA has been guided by this motto. This program has expanded my global perspective while also deepening my professional expertise as I move from the aviation industry to business management. In order to make a significant impact, I hope to take on responsibilities on an international basis using the analytical abilities and cultural intelligence I've acquired here. The IBMBA is the ideal platform to discover new opportunities and use your experiences as a competitive advantage, provided you have faith in the value you can produce.
