Ivy
/My name is Ivy Chang, and I’m from Taipei. I just graduated from the GHRM MBA program at NSYSU. I chose this program because it’s fully English-taught, offers exchange and dual-degree opportunities, and focuses on human resources.
One of the most memorable courses was The Practice of Corporate Ethics and Social Responsibility. We engaged in debates about ethical and unethical behaviors in business, which deepened my understanding of real-world corporate dilemmas. The learning environment was diverse and enriching, with classmates from Thailand, Indonesia, the U.S., and more. I had the chance to exchange cultures and significantly improve my English communication skills.
Besides taking courses, I also worked as a teaching assistant and student assistant in the office. One of the biggest challenges I faced was time management—especially during my final semester, balancing thesis writing, job hunting, and assistant duties. I learned to prioritize and stay organized to manage all responsibilities effectively.
During my exchange in France, I met many international friends from countries like France, Italy, and Spain. Talking with them helped me appreciate cultural differences, and traveling across Europe, especially visiting Iceland’s glaciers, gave me a deep sense of awe for nature and the importance of protecting our planet.
My advice to future students: Stay curious and open-minded. The world is vast and full of possibilities.
