Masataka Nedachi

I am Masataka Nedachi from Japan. My journey to the GHRM program began with a desire to connect my management experience with a deeper understanding of human resources. After years of management experience, I realized that effectively managing human resources is both the most rewarding and challenging aspect of leadership. This motivated me to pursue further education to enhance my skills and knowledge.

A memorable experience was conducting interview sessions at local chain restaurants in a Consulting Methods & Practice class. My team members diligently crafted effective interview questions to enhance employee training at local chain restaurants. Convincing their HR department of these establishments of our proposals gave us a deep sense of achievement. We learned that teamwork, perseverance, and openness to innovative ideas are essential for overcoming challenges and reaching goals.

Living in Kaohsiung, I value its relaxed atmosphere and convenient accessibility. The international airport facilitates travel, and the MRT and a unique circle LRT help me explore comfortably. Passing the TOCFL C1 in Chinese boosted my confidence in communication and enabled me to build deeper connections with local students and the community.

Balancing studies, group projects, language learning, and extracurricular activities such as the Chinese orchestra (國樂社) and cocktail club was demanding yet rewarding. Through these experiences, I developed valuable skills in time management, resilience, and adaptability. My goal is to pursue a career in tourism or hospitality, and I believe this program offers the essential tools to achieve that. To future students: embrace diversity, remain open to new ideas, and remember that a genuine willingness to learn and grow is key.
